Between April 5th - 8th, 2001, the Merchants recorded
10 songs live off the floor in John's living room. Engineer, Paul
Schmitz, was set up with 3 ADATs in the "smoking room" and the lead singer,
whether Al or Tom, was isolated in the spare bedroom with a video feed
going to a TV monitor in the main room. The songs on this album were
mostly written and arranged at the rurn of the millenium.

SELF-TITLED (1999)
The Stone Merchants previous album was a compilation
of unreleased recordings from earlier days. The first of the three
featured sessions was recorded in early 1994 at Anvil Studios, with Colin
Lay producing and Mykal Ammar on lead guitar. The next session is
an "unplugged" recording of songs destined for use in the ITV program,
"Up & Coming." Stuart Eiriksson is featured on guitar on three
songs recorded by Dennis Sheehan at Cramer Bros. studios in 1993.
The compilation ends with three songs featuring the guitar work of Eddie
Patterson and production by Jamie Kidd at the Works. These last
recordings were made for the Alberta Music Project sponsored in part by
the CKUA Radio Network. As an
added bonus, the new Stone Merchants CD includes 6 songs from the original
Al Brant Band album, "Let it Fly," which featured Al, John &
Kelly with Eddie on guitar.
